Carolina Precision Technologies is searching for an experienced IT Administrator to fill a newly created role based at the Atlanta, GA office. This position is responsible for assisting with all functions within the IT department, including network support, systems administration and end-user support. The successful candidate will bring solid user experience in Infor Visual ERP platform use/management, has experience administering IT support systems throughout multi-entity corporation and management of system processes. The successful candidate will possess the skills needed to complete the following responsibilities:

Infor Visual ERP Support

  • Support and maintain the organization’s Infor Visual system
  • Troubleshoot errors and identify paths for improvement
  • Document business processes
  • Analyze data using reporting tools
  • Provide training to users on Visual functionality
  • Coordinate with company stakeholders on identifying paths for improvement in the ERP, and implementing solutions to create more efficient processes 

Technical Support

  • Supports, configures and maintains all aspects of IT infrastructure
  • Supports, configures and maintains IP and non-IP phone system
  • Uses group policy to enforce security and automate network changes
  • Monitors server event logs and takes appropriate actions
  • Purchases, builds and configures desktops and laptops for new/existing users
  • Monitors computer peripherals inventory and purchases needed items
  • Monitors and tests all backup jobs
  • Installation/maintenance of network cables throughout facility
  • Audits and Identifies network, server and computer security weaknesses, and implements solutions.
  • Creates and maintains user accounts (all systems)
  • Develops and maintains company-wide security and ensures their compliance
  • Develops, maintains and tests the IT Disaster Recovery Plan
  • Support and analyzes network-wide security to ensure it meets current and future requirements
  • Maintains technical expertise on industry security best practices, standards and compliance regulations (i.e. ISO 27000, NIST SP800-1714)
  • Maintains expertise on customer-specific requirements


  • Collaborates with Data Analysis team to determine company needs and best practices
  • Interfaces with ACTIA Group, worldwide
  • Collaborates with assigned delegates from other departments for the IT Disaster Recovery Plan to ensure business continuity
  • Ensure legal compliance with state, federal, OSHA and other groups
  • Ensure ISO procedures are followed
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures 

Required Skills

  • 2 years’ experience with current Corporate systems administration, network administration, system building and Help Desk/End-User support, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Infor VISUAL Manufacturing ERP software experience
  • BSc/BA/AD in IT, Computer Science, or related field
  • Experience supporting Windows Server (2003-current) and Desktop environments (Vista-10)
  • Experience supporting Microsoft SQL Database Server
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience supporting Autodesk/CAD solutions
  • Knowledge and strong understanding of networking, TCP/IP, subnets, routing etc.

Skills and Attributes
