CPT with all of its acquired companies has over 30 years of industry experience. Originally formed in 1998 as Carolina Precision Manufacturing, the company was later acquired in 2015 by Linx Partners. In 2016, CPT completed its first acquisition in its purchase of MK Precision (est. 2005), a precision manufacturer in Pennsylvania servicing the spinal implant and instrument markets. In 2019, CPT completed its second acquisition in its purchase of Renchel Tool, a niche contract manufacturer in Connecticut providing complex orthopedic implants and instruments.
